Job Description:
We are seeking a Category Analyst to join our team at Metrics Mint. Our company provides strategic consulting services to businesses in the supply chain and procurement domains, and we are looking for an analyst who can help us deliver impactful insights and recommendations to our clients.
Job Responsibility: As a Category Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing market trends, conducting research on products and suppliers, and identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. You will work closely with the procurement team to develop sourcing strategies that align with our clients' goals.
- Conduct market research to identify current trends in specific categories
- Analyze data from various sources to provide insights on supplier performance, pricing, market share, and other key metrics
- Identify potential cost-saving opportunities through supplier consolidation or negotiation tactics
- Collaborate with the procurement team to develop category sourcing strategies
- Support contract negotiations by providing data-driven insights on market dynamics and supplier capabilities
- Monitor supplier performance against agreed-upon KPIs and recommend corrective actions when necessary
- Regularly communicate analysis results to internal stakeholders and clients in a clear and concise manner
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related field
- 2+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain analytics
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel
